7. Teachers Rule
I am excited to create a game with Mrs. Smith. Our game is a story of a princess and a witch and dragon. The witch and dragon will acknowledge good and bad teaching habits. If the player picks the good teaching habits, the player will win the marriage of the princess. Creating this game will be good practice for me and allow me to greater understand how to create games. It has been great to be in the same class with her.

Meet Flash
Game design ruined my time playing games one student commented. The reason is he finished by stating that while playing games, he will now be trying to figure out how it works. This is the outcome of learning game design. A game design class bring a appreciation of the creativity, animation, and the action of and especially the code that was used to get the job done.
A Single Story
A single story is an awakening of the necessity of learning. If we don't read to broaden our minds, keep up with the news to know what is going on around us and around the world, listen to others especially our parents about stories and experiences of the past,to our peers to learn about ourselves, and to our young to see what is the future, we could be speaking a single story. We think we know what we are talking about and many times think we know the correct answer to issues and problems only to find we are formulating what we say with a tiny one-sided strand of information. If earlier generations did not realize how much more was around them where are we in the story of a single story.

A New Semester
At the beginning of Game Design Class tasks are different and unfamiliar. These unfamiliar tasks seem confusing but it is just a matter of learning what is expected and learning the environment of the course. This is a class that is so different from others. This course is about online communication, multitasking, creating, and learning new concepts and ideas. Students are always busy doing hands-on assignments. This class goes fast every day. This is a great class.

Steve Jobs
I saw a game about Gates and Steve Jobs on Globaloria Central. it reminded me about the video I showed my other two classes. It was about the life of Steve Jobs. Steve has given a lot to society and life has changed in every aspect because of Steve. A Hong Kong teenager had a wonderful idea of compassion and creativity and made a silhouette of Steve which he added it to the symbol of Apple. I wish I would have thought of this. What bothers me is that no one in the land of where he lived and worked thought to create this.

Class Moving Along
My Globaloria class students have been working diligently. I have found they work together well in groups and with other groups. Learning logs are now a habit. I have included the students in written communication with Denise and Yasmin. I want them to feel that they are part of a community and that they can voice their questions and answers. I watch that they don't skip an assignment or two. They are excited about getting their games on their way. I have not as yet watched the prototypes, but when I do I am going to evaluate if they succeeded not doing a quiz game. I have enjoyed working with this class.

HOPES FOR A NEW SCHOOL YEAR!
This will be a great school year, but I want summer to go slowly first. During this school year I will be teaching Globaloria both semesters. My plan is to spend more time with blogging, commenting, knowledge communities, and the education of the students' game designs. My goal is keep up with Betty. Last year felt like a success, but this year will be a new beginning of new hopes and ideas. I hope everyone has a great year.
